The 2022 Children’s Hospital Butterfly Run is a charity event with a 5k, 10k, and fun walk. All proceeds will help East Tennessee Children’s Hospital to keep children healthy.
The Butterfly Run has a route for every participant at every age or level. You can choose the 5K, the 10K, the family fun run & walk, or run on your own time “virtually.” Regardless of your preference, every mile and every dollar means that the children of East Tennessee receive the health care they need.
Cash prizes will be given to winners in 5k and 10k events, both men and women, as well as masters, grandmasters, and veterans. Age groups awards will also be given.
2. Red Apple Run 5K

3. Elvis Presley 5K

The 40th Annual Elvis 5K (Virtual) event and popular Elvis 100 challenge (Virtual) event benefit Livitup, Inc.
The Elvis 100 challenge is a virtual run or walk that takes you along the road from the birthplace of Elvis Presley in Tupelo to Graceland in Memphis. Runners will log their mileage in RunSignUp and receive the Elvis 100 Challenge shirt and finisher medal when they cross the finish line.
For every or three friends you refer that use your personal registration link to register, you’ll get a refund of $15 credited back to the card you used to register for the race. Friends will motivate, support, and even challenge you!

5. Oak Ridge to Boston Qualifier

Oak Ridge to Boston Qualifier allows only 50 total participants.
This race is for those who want to qualify for the Boston Marathon or go for a personal best in the Half Marathon.
You must meet the age group standard. You can find the time goals here.
Marathon
The route is an Out-and-Back on the Oak Ridge Turnpike with a bike lane/shoulder and less than 600ft total elevation gain.
Half Marathon
The route is a Point-to-Point on the Highway with a bike lane/shoulder and less than 400ft total elevation gain. There will be a shuttle from the Finish line back to the Start.
6. 7 Bridges Marathon

The 7 Bridges Marathon is a Boston Qualifier. It is the largest marathon in Chattanooga. You can find a Live DJ, race shirts, medals, food, and 5 different runs to choose from — a Marathon, Half Marathon, 10K, 5K, and 1k Fun Run. All events will be held on October 16, 2022.
The Marathon starts at Coolidge Park near the Big Blue Rhino and the Theatre on Tremont Avenue. The road and asphalt route crosses the 4 bridges downtown and 3 bridges on the North Chick Greenway. Aid stations are available every mile.
7. Nashville Marathon

8. Harpeth Hills Flying Monkey Marathon

The Harpeth Hills Flying Monkey Marathon is about hard running and pushing your limits. You will run big and painful rolling hills through dense woods. The 26.2-mile distance in the scenic and historic Percy Warner Park, situated among the Middle Tennessee Harpeth Hills, is one of the most challenging races in Nashville.
Time and distance will be measured, but the course is not certificated. There won’t be bands or cheering crowds, but you will get the permanent remembrance of finishing the challenging and memorable marathon, which includes over 3600 feet of elevation changes.
9. Fiery Gizzard Run

The Fiery Gizzard Run, with a half and full marathon distance, is one of the Top 25 Trails in the US.
Marathon athletes will run the out-and-back trail two times, starting and finishing at the Grundy Forest. Half marathoners will run one full traverse of the trail.
On the course, you can find scenic waterfalls, beautiful rock formations, and picturesque views for miles. The trail is mostly flat, with several dips into gorges. These descents are technical, and you must focus on your footing. There are several dangerous spots, so please read the race layout sent via email.
