Running For Our Parks
Join us on Saturday, September 21, 2024 for the 28th Annual Great River Bridge Race! Experience the energy of one of the greatest events in Burlington that brings our community together. This event offers multiple options to give everyone an opportunity to cross the Great River Bridge on foot, regardless of skill level. All race proceeds benefit the Burlington Parks and Recreation Department, so YOU will help create a lasting impact for everyone in our community. Don't miss this opportunity to capture the breathtaking views of the Mighty Mississippi, as the Great River Bridge is typically closed to pedestrians! The 10k and 5k will both be timed and scored by J3 Timing. Results will be posted on the J3 website.
The Drake Restaurant (across from the starting / finishing line) at 106 Washington, will have drinks available for purchase beginning at 9am, and food starting at 11am!

This 1.5 mile walk is perfect for people who aren't looking for the intense race atmosphere, but still want to experience the excitement. The Bridge Walk will not be timed.
