Community Corn Roast & 5K Family Fun Run/Walk

This is a FREE Community Corn Roast and 5K Family Fun Run/Walk. The first 200 runners/walkers to sign up will receive a free t-shirt on the day of the event. This event is open to all, whether you run, walk, or use a wheelchair. It starts and ends at Tacoma Central Church and is followed up by a FREE Community Corn Roast.

Rules of the Race
1. This is a fun run! We will have a race clock going but will not be chip timing individual runners.
2. The course is marked with signs along the side of the sidewalk / bike trail and with sidewalk chalk directly on the path.
3. IMPORTANT! We must adhere to traffic lights and crosswalk rules. Please stay on sidewalks, bike trail, and only cross streets when the traffic signal
indicates it is safe to do so. (This is important for your safety and to comply with our city permit)
4. IMPORTANT! At the turnaround point, remember to pick up a rubber band from the volunteers. This will show you fully completed the course upon
your return.
5. All finishers will receive a medal for your achievement!
6. The first three men and the first three women to cross the finish line will be awarded trophies.
7. There will be volunteers at the street crossings and turnaround point. If you or another runner needs assistance, the volunteers at these points can
support you.
8. Please be kind and respectful to all volunteers.
9. Be respectful and kind to all who are on the course with you. Support and encourage one another’s fun!
