Join Us for our 4th Annual Walk for Whiskers!

Walk for Whiskers is starting NOW till Saturday September 21, 2024.

It’s time to “Walk the Talk” and join the Humane Society of Pinellas in the John R. Lawrence Pioneer Park for an outdoor festival featuring a one mile walk throughout downtown Dunedin, scavenger hunt, adoptable HSP dogs, paw selected vendors, doggie costume contest and pool pawty, games, giveaways, prizes and more!

Fundraise for the animals!

Walk for Whiskers benefits the Humane Society of Pinellas, Pinellas County's largest no-kill animal shelter, who found furever homes for over 1,400 pets in 2023.  You can help our mission by walking with us on 9/21/24 to raise awareness about your passion for animals, asking friends and family to donate and support your cause, or fundraise virtually.  AND you can start fundraising right meow!

Vend in the Park!

Join the fun at the park on Saturday September 21, 2024 and pawty with humans and their dogs while also raising funds for the cause.  Limited spaces available click to become a vendor. 

Be a PAWsport PAWtner!

Pawticipants and their dogs will stop at YOUR business to get a stamp on their PAWsport Saturday, September 21, 2024 for a chance to win more prizes!  Getting involved as a PAWsport PAWtner opens up more engagement opportunities for visitors at your stop and shows that you welcome us to Dunedin with open paws.  Psst…scavenger hunt?

Donate Prizes!

Donate items, gift certificates, coupons, swag or experiences and we will gladly pick them up and give you a shout out!

Volunteer!

HSP can only have a successful event with our dedicated and compassionate volunteers, and there are many ways to get involved as a volunteer leading up to Walk for Whiskers and on the day of the event.  Must be 18+.

Day of Festivities

Walk: Start off at John R. Lawrence Pioneer Park, then along Highland Avenue to Skinner Boulevard and hit the Fred Marquis Pinellas Trail back to the park.  The walk course will take ruffly around 30-45 minutes including PAWsport stops and more incentives.  Walk for Whiskers event t-shirts and swag are included with your walk with a registration fee of just $25.  Complete PAWsport for raffle drawing and prizes!

Doggie Costume Contest: Everyone loves a doggie costume contest and this year's theme is “celebrity look alike”!  HSP will award prizes to the top five best themed costumes.

Adoptable Dogs: meet and greet adoptable dogs from the Humane Society of Pinellas and gain a furever friend!

Vendors: Stop by our pawsome vendor booths for some shopping and collect freebies in the park!

Barkin’ Bar: wet dog shakes are 100% acceptable at the Barkin’ Bar in the park where dogs can take a dip in the doggie pools and lap up some h20.  Hydration stations will be available throughout the park and along the walk route.

Tie-Dye Station: create a tie-dye bandana for you or for your dog at the park!

After PAWty: don"t want the fun to end so quick join us after from 6pm - 7pm for an After PAWty at HOB Brewing Company.
