WALK FOR WATER CRISIS RELIEF: Join Us For The 2-Mile Walk
Sub-events Details
WALK 4 WATER CRISIS RELIEF
Come join us to do a 2-mile walk for water Relief fundraiser in the Dickinson Bayou area starting from Premier Martial Arts on Hwy 517 and I-45.
It's about a 2-hours 15 min. event that benefits the ministry projects of Relief Network Min., Inc. - a charity that provides access to safe clean water to communities, schools, and churches in West Africa and India/Pakistan.
This outdoor fundraiser will help us drill new water wells, rehabilitate bad existing wells, upgrade some pumps from unreliable electric power supply to solar pumping systems; provide job skills to trainees; purchase sewing machines to empower women/widows; provide medical aid to the poor and needy in the places we serve.
Signup for yourself and your family to book your T-Shirts: $25 for children under 13, and $35 for Adults/Others. Bring 1 or 2 empty milk gallons for water you will carry back from the bayou. We walk so that many women and children do not have to walk miles to fetch dirty water in West Africa.
High School/Junior High students can earn Community Service Credits for time spent raising $100 to $5000 or more to dig a shallow or deep well; purchase a sewing machine for a widow, or feed 10 Orphans for 1 month.
You can also help at the event as team captain to lead 5 or more persons safely to the Bayou and back with your water jerry cans or milk gallons.
