Taking place September 16, 2023 in Durango Colorado, the Valkyrie Multisport Relay is a seven-sport team event that pits up to nine competitors racing against each other and for personal bests, exchanging between road running, trail running, mountain biking, stand-up paddle boarding, open water swimming, road cycling, and canoe/kayak paddling. Race day consists of the 102-mile full-course relay, and the 68-mile sprint-course relay, happening concurrently. The Valkyrie can also be raced as ultra-athlete duos leap- frogging each other to complete all legs, or for elite solitary athletes, as a heptathlon. The shorter distances of the Sprint course make the race more accessible to recreational, youth and family teams.

Individual athletes can compete in any sport by itself ! You can go it alone, or race along side a friend who is on a team. Individual competitors chose one sport included in the cost of registration . Add more sports for additional cost. Racing must be completed within the posted course operating times.
