Join us for the inaugural Squirrel Scramble 5K and Fun Run on Flag Day, June 14, 2025!

The Querbes Park Foundation, in partnership with Shreveport Parks and Recreation, invites you to run or walk the iconic grounds and fairways of Querbes Park. This is a once-in-a-century opportunity to explore one of Shreveport's gems. Run or walk beneath the pristine oak trees and along the lush grounds that have been a local favorite since 1924. In over a century of Querbes' history, this chance to run or walk in the park has never been offered before. Walkers and strollers are warmly encouraged to join us!

Door Prizes * Breakfast* Squirrel Bait. Plus, Soft Drinks, Water and Beer will be served.

Proceeds from the race will benefit the Querbes Park Foundation, a nonprofit organization dedicated to preserving and enhancing the park, as well as the surrounding streets and neighborhoods.

The Fun Run starts at 7:30 am, followed by the 5K at 7:45 am. The predominantly flat and easy course will meander along the paths and fairways of the entire park, all under the shade of its iconic oak trees.

All participants will receive a commemorative T-shirt, a finisher's medal, and a special gift at the Finish Line!
