Come join us in Philadelphia for a memorable weekend in the City of Brotherly Love!
Our beautiful scenic courses take runners past historic landmarks, through urban neighborhoods, and along Philadelphia's picturesque waterfronts. Of course, you can't forget the crowds!
A beautiful, fast and scenic course, an engaging atmosphere—it’s no wonder we're consistently listed among the top ten courses in the country, recognized for our flat terrain, mellow weather and spirited fans.
Expect beautiful views through Fairmount Park and along the Schuylkill River and neighborhood crowds gathering on sidewalks in University City and Manayunk. Weave through the well-traveled streets of our historic district, passing sights familiar to Franklin, Washington and the rest of the gang, and end your race speeding towards the steps of the majestic Art Museum.
Digital splits are provided at the 5K, 10K, 13.1 mile and 30K marks along the course, and fluid stations and spectator overlooks are set up throughout the course.
For 2022 - The Philadelphia Marathon founding goal has always been the promotion of health and fitness amongst both the local Philadelphia community and our national and international participants.
To stay true to these goals given the current public health challenges, Philadelphia Marathon Weekend Officials recommend all 2022 participants be up to date on vaccinations protecting them against Covid19 and wear a face mask around others in public spaces.
You’re invited to join and/or support the AACR Runners for Research team and help them hit their fundraising goal of $500,000. These funds will directly support the AACR’s mission to prevent and cure cancer through: Research, Education, Communication, Collaboration, Science Policy and Advocacy, and Funding for Cancer Research. Become part of a community that puts more meaning in their miles by raising funds for lifesaving cancer research and receive various race weekend perks! Learn more HERE!
