Event details

The Maple Run Half Marathon and 5K is scheduled for Saturday, April 15, 2023, in Canton, NY

As the premier springtime half marathon in St. Lawrence County history, The Maple Run celebrates the end of winter in the North Country, the sweet spoils of the maple industry, and some of Canton’s most beautiful natural landmarks. Along the 13.1-mile course will be several refreshment stations staffed by dedicated, fun-loving, and often costume-clad volunteers!

Our 5K course is a trail run and a smooth, fast road run combined.

2023 will continue to offer virtual registration but with a twist. Virtual half marathon participants may choose to complete 10 miles on their own and log them into The Maple Run's website. On event day, participants may join the live 5K to complete their 13.1 miles and enjoy the energy of crossing the finish line in person!

Each pre-registered participant will receive our iconic crewneck sweatshirt. Event finishers will earn a custom-made wooden medallion.

The Maple Run Half Marathon and 5K has been a fixture in the North Country running community since 2017 and benefits a great cause: local youth cross-country running programs.
