A marathon in distance, but an Ultra in effort: The Official 26.2mi Inca Trail Marathon is an extremely challenging and beautiful high altitude trail race in the Andes mountains of Peru with the finish line in front of the ancient Inca citadel of Machu Picchu. The course for this race has been professionally and accurately measured to 26.2 miles, with runners having to complete more than the typical one way distance of the Inca Trail from KM 82 to the finish line to cover 26.2 miles. We also offer a 18 mile "Incathon" that will allow all runners that may not be experienced enough for the full race to compete on the Inca Trail in a shorter race!
