The "Arc"tic Pickleball Frenzy

The weather outside may be cold but prepare to break a sweat during the inaugural "Arc"tic Pickleball Frenzy! There's a Saturday evening with no football and we have the perfect opportunity to burn off some steam while raising important funds for The Arc of Greater Williamsburg. The Arc serves adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities through local programs, events, and employment transportation opportunities. With your tax-deductible participation, this event will bring additional funding to expand and improve our programs to serve the 250+ local families who are a part of The Arc.

This frenzy will take place at the James City County Recreation Center on six courts. There will be two groups separated by skill levels: Beginner to Low-intermediate and High-intermediate to Advanced. Each group will play a total of six, 8-minute games in a row, true to the name "frenzy!"  We will be utilizing a randomizer to determine who participants are paired with for each round. At the end of each game, the teams will fill out and initial their scores to be gathered and tallied. The top three winners from each group will be named. Winners are based on each individual's accumulated point scores.

The schedule for the event is as follows:

6:00pm: Doors open, check-in begins for Group #1

6:15pm: Group #1 Warm-up begins 

6:30pm: Games for Group #1 begin

7:15pm: Check in for Group #2

7:30pm: Warm up for Group #2 begins 

7:45pm: Games for Group #2 begin

***Please note that prior to the event, you will receive an email with your start time. If you do not receive this email one day prior to the event, please contact The Arc at 757-229-3535.

Registration will close on January 18th and is limited to 24 participants per group for a total of 48 event participants. Once the cap of participants is reached, you will be directed to join a waitlist that will be utilized in the event of cancellations, additional participant needs, etc.
