Swim Miami is back in 2013 at the Miami Marine Stadium! Set in an amazing pristine, generally calm water environment that will definitely allow for all ages and abilities to enjoy the fast growing sport of Open Water Swimming. Challenge yourself to one of five amazing races: 800M, The Miami Mile, The 5K swim, The 10K swim, or the K9-Krawl! This is the premiere open water event that you wouldnt want to miss in the USA!
1 lap for the Mile
3 laps for the 5K
6 laps for the 10K
PRE-EVENT REQUIREMENTS
– All participants must arrive one hour prior to race start to ensure adequate time to check in or come to our pre race check in on Saturday April 15.
– Changes will be allowed for a $10 fee.
TIMELINE

12:00 PM – 7:00 PM – All event pre-check in
Sunday, April 16, 2023
7:00 am – 8:00 am Check-In
RACE STARTING TIMES: (subject to change)
8:00 AM – 10K swim begins
8:10 AM – 800 meter swim begins
9:00 AM – 5K swim begins
10:30 AM – Miami Mile 18 and under
11:00 AM – K9-Krawl begins
12:00 PM – Course closes completely
Award Ceremony:
We will award the first 3 male and female overall swimmers (not by age group) after each race.
Every swimmer walks away with a limited edition finisher patch. These are truly special and a great memento for the year you've had in open water swimming.
Time Limits:
10K: 4 hours
5K: 3 hours
Register by March 1st to pre-purchase a SWIM MIAMI gear. All gear will be picked up at the registration table.
SWIM DETAILS
Sanctioned By: World Open Water Swim Association – WOWSA
Water Temperature: 81-82 degrees (F)
Safety: Current World Open Water Swimming Association (WOWSA) rules will govern this meet. Safety rules as outlined by WOWSA and as recommended by the referee, will be in effect.
Water Entry: This event will employ an in-water start and beach finish. All entries will be feet first and controlled by the safety officer. There are no racing dives permitted.
Hydration Station: There will be a hydration station provided by the race crew this year but you must assign someone to provide your feed.
