5K Virtual Run/Walk
5K
WHAT
The largest 5K in Topsail Beach is back! Same course, same great view.
Whether you’re an experienced runner, an occasional jogger or simply looking for a fun walk across the Surf City Bridge, the Surf to Sound 5K is the perfect event to celebrate the landscape, businesses, and community that make up Hampstead, Topsail Island, and Surf City.
Starting in Soundside Park in Surf City, participants will head across the Surf City Bridge and down to Atkinson Point. At the halfway point, participants will loop back toward the island, enjoy one more pass across the Surf City Bridge, and then cross the finish line in Soundside Park - all while taking in the Topsail Sound and views of the Atlantic Ocean for about 3.1 miles. Join us to help raise funds for a great cause, the Karen Beasley Sea Turtle Rescue and Rehabilitation Center.

HOW YOUR REGISTRATION MAKES A DIFFERENCE
The mission of the Karen Beasley Sea Turtle Rescue and Rehabilitation Center is the conservation and preservation of all species of marine turtles, both in the water and on the beach. We accomplish this through the rescue, care, and release of sick and injured sea turtles, public education regarding the plight of sea turtles and the threat of their extinction, and learning opportunities for students of biology, wildlife conservation, and veterinary medicine from around the world. A nonprofit organization, we view our work as a privilege and are honored to work with these magnificent creatures.
