Event details

Join us for the Shamrock & Run for Hope 5K on Saturday, April 2, 2022, at Latimer Lakes in Horn Lake, MS. This race is for runners, walkers, and those who roll or stroll!

This event benefits The Hope Center Community Center of North Mississippi, and the Horn Lake High School Marching Band.  The Hope Center is a 501(c)3 non-profit (Tax ID 35-2519986) whose mission is to improve the communities in DeSoto County, Mississippi, by providing safe activities and events for the area’s youth. Combining a much-needed after-school and weekend program with a variety of activities for citizens of all ages, the Hope Center infuses the culture of DeSoto County with optimism and a more positive community.

We are offering both in-person and virtual race options.

The in-person race begins at 8 a.m.  Early Bird registration is now through March 20 for $25 per runner over 19 years old.  Ages 10-19 may register for $20 per runner.  After March 20, the registration fee increases to $30 per runner over 19 years old, and $25 for ages 10-19.  Children under 10 years old race free and do not require registration.  Each registered racer will be given a racing packet prior to race day. Racing packets may also be picked up on race day prior to the race.  RACING PACKET PICKUP IS ON FRIDAY, APRIL 1 FROM 4 P.M. TO 7 P.M. AT HORN LAKE CITY HALL - 3101 GOODMAN RD. WEST IN HORN LAKE.  WE WILL BE LOCATED IN THE FRONT FOYER.  RACE DAY PACKET PICKUP BEGINS AT 7:30 AM AT THE RACE LOCATION IN LATIMER PARK.  To be guaranteed a t-shirt, we ask that you register prior to March 20.  Leashed pets are welcomed!!!

The virtual race option is for those who are not able to participate in person.  Separate results will be provided for virtual runners. Please note, due to the nature of virtual results being reliant on dependable cell service and honesty, there will be no awards for virtual participants. Results are for recognition only.
