SevenDays® 2022: Kindness Walk
We look forward to walking in unity during the SevenDays® Kindness Walk at the United Methodist Church of the Resurrection Leawood at 13720 Roe Avenue on Sunday, April 16, 2023 from 4-7pm. Our goal is to celebrate the ripples of kindness we achieve as a community. Participation from all religious/non-religious beliefs, races, and cultures is encouraged & all ages are welcome. Children five and under walk free, but registration is required for each person participating in the walk.

Packet Delivery: This year all walk packets will be delivered to your home with your early registration. Register by March 31st to receive a free t-shirt and mask while supplies last! Please wear your SevenDays® T-shirt to the Walk. Masks are not required.
Parking: There will be free parking available in Lots C and Lot B1 at the Church of the Resurrection (13720 Roe Avenue), but be sure to come early to get a spot.
Pre-Walk: Same-day registration will also be available at the United Methodist Church of the Resurrection beginning at 4:00 pm on April 16. *Note: masks and t-shirts are not guaranteed if you choose same day registration.
Walk: The Walk will commence at 5 pm on the Southwest Lawn near the Pre-Walk sound stage. Enjoy a variety of foods available for purchase just past the finish line upon completion of the approximately 1.3 mile route. This is a family event and parents or guardians are expected to be with children under the age of 12. Strollers are welcome. Participants with service animals are also encouraged to participate (only service animals will be allowed, however).
Post-Walk: Make plans to join us for the Kindness Walk After-Party with a live performance by Diamond Empire and food for sale by some of Kansas City's best food trucks from after you're done walking until 7pm!
Security: Help ensure a safe and enjoyable event by being aware of your surroundings. Promptly alert staff or security/police if you notice anything that seems unusual or suspicious. Keep this simple guide phrase in mind: "See something, say something."
Prohibited Items: Alcohol, Animals/pets (service animals excepted), balloons, bicycles, skateboards, Segways, wheelies or roller blades, clothing deemed obscene or indecent, costumes that cover the face, folding chairs, camp chairs, and tables of any kind, confetti, glitter or streamers, backpacks, coolers of any kind, suitcases and rolling bags, drones of any kind, fireworks or sparklers, flammable liquids, toxic chemicals, and explosives, illegal drugs, weapons including but not limited to firearms & knives. Exceptions to the listed items will be at the discretion of the Security staff and may include items for medical, infant, child or immediate care. This is a private event. The event does not provide a "check" facility, so attendees are urged not to bring restricted items. All attendees are subject to search by security. You will be responsible for your own belongings at all times.
Weather Precautions: This is a rain or shine event--a little sprinkle won't stop us! In the event of lightning or other inclement weather, we will postpone or cancel. Check our social media channels for more information.
