PACE Southeast Michigan is proud to present the 3rd annual Set the PACE 5K at Eastwood Beach in Stony Creek Metropark. Thank you to Henry Ford Health, our presenting sponsor, for supporting this event.
The Set the PACE 5K fundraiser supports the PACE Southeast Michigan Community Giving Fund. PACE Southeast Michigan provides care to older adults who often live on a fixed income. Our Community Giving Fund was established to help with basic and emergency needs required to remain living safely at home, which can include roof repairs, appliance repair and replacement, and preventing utility shutoffs and evictions. It allows one of the most vulnerable populations in Southeast Michigan – our seniors – to stay in the homes and communities they love.
While the 5K name "Set the PACE" is a fun play on words, we see setting the PACE as raising the bar for what it means for seniors to live safely, comfortably, and with dignity in their own homes. By participating in the PACE Southeast Michigan Set the PACE 5K, you can help set up our Community Giving Fund for success, to ensure our participants get what they need to stay in their homes.
PACE Southeast Michigan is a Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE). PACE Southeast Michigan’s mission is to keep aging, low-income, nursing-home-eligible adults with multiple chronic illnesses independent in their own homes by caring for their medical, physical, psychosocial, and spiritual needs.
All participants who registered by Thursday, May 16, 2024, will receive a t-shirt and a race bib. Participants will also receive a medal at the finish line. Virtual participants will receive a medal in their race packet. T-shirts cannot be guaranteed if registered after May 16, 2024.
Awards will be provided to the first three male and female finishers, and to runners in each of the following age groups:
Shelby Township, MI, USA
