Event details

Join us for the 33rd Annual Septemberfest 5k/10k Walk/Run. The race has been ran every year since 1990 in coordination with the annual Lawrence County Septemberfest, which takes place the first weekend after Labor Day every year.

Day of Registration runs from 7:15-7:50AM. Day of registration is $20 for students and $25 for others. Children under 5 are still FREE on registration day.

The 5k and 10k races start at 8:00am.

This race is a perfect tune-up for those getting ready for a Half-Marathon or Marathon later this fall!

The 5K will have a pace limit of 33 min/mile (Time limit: 1 hour 40 minute). Race support cannot be guaranteed for runners/walkers going slower than this pace.

The 10K will have a pace limit of 16 min/mile (Time limit: 1 hour 40 minutes). Race support cannot be guaranteed for runners/walkers going slower than this pace.

Each participant registered before August 30th will be guaranteed a shirt. Shirts will be available to registrants after that date until they run out. Packet pick-up is the morning of the race and consists of your bib and your shirt. This race is not chip timed.

The 5k and 10k races are run on a live race course, meaning cars and traffic may be present. Signs and limited traffic control will be present to assist runners and handle traffic. This race starts next to the Lawrence County Board Office adjacent to the Lawrence County High School Football Field. The 5k race follows a route through the neighboring subdivision, Meadowbrooke. The 10k race leaves the 5k route and continues into downtown Louisa and heads towards Stella Moore baseball fields, then follows around Spring Hill and Highbottom before rejoining the 5k route.

This race will be held rain or shine. No refunds will be given. In case of lightning, race will be postponed. Those who aren't able to make it, but have already registered will be able to pick up their T-shirts at J.D. Lester, DMD Family Dentistry (located at 405 E. Perry St. Louisa, KY 41230) starting the Monday after the race.
