This is a fundraising event for Benjamin Hawkins! 

Benjamin was born with a narrow esophagus. He began receiving dilations at 1 year old. He has also had bronchial stints placed in his esophagus as well as acid reflux surgery. None of these interventions have been successful. When he was 6 years old he had a feeding tube placed. He has never been able to eat and hold down solid food. 

In the fall, Benjamin and his family will travel to Boston. He will be sedated for 5 days while the doctors build him a new esophagus with part of his small intestines. The family will stay with him in Boston for 3 months as he recovers. After surgery, he will be able to eat and hold down solids. He is SO excited about the idea of being able to eat!
