The 1st annual Run for the Roost takes place on a scenic, point-to-point course during the peak of spring.. It starts on the historic West Roanoke and loops around to return on the scenic Jessamine Street.. There is one mild hill and a few curves as the course takes you through historic Fitzgerald. The event also is a great way to begin your day at the Wild Chicken Festival in the beautiful downtown Fitzgerald.
