Run For The Children

19th Annual Run For The Children 10K/5K/1K Fun Run,Saturday April 27, 2024 in Graham, Texas. The common start/finish line is at the downtown Square, the largest courthouse square in the country. The Run takes place in April to coincide with Child Abuse Awareness Month. Proceeds go to Virginia’s House-Dr. Goodall’s House, which serves children who are victims of abuse. Virginia’s House provides service to Young, Stephens, and Throckmorton Counties.

The 10K and 5K courses are USATF certified and will take you through the heart of the downtown square past the old Courthouse arch and through the town. The 1K Fun Run course will circle around the inside of the Courthouse Square. There is a $100 cash prize for overall male and female winners of the 10K and 5K.

While the salt works were the stepping stones for establishing Graham, Texas, in 1877 Graham was the birthplace of the Texas and Southwestern Cattle Raisers Association.
