We have started up again, Rome has restarted. 16 March 2025 is a new day that will never set. Eternal, like Rome. The Colosseum is waiting for your return after 42.195 km in a Rome that awaits you, cradles you, transports you. Achieve your goal, travel through time.
The National Anthem, the Legionaries with their ancient armour at your side and you who have chosen to be there. Yes, you are there. Breathe. Live, run, walk, cry with joy, feel the chills running down your arms, the sweat on your forehead, your legs pushing harder and harder. The medal is there, at the Colosseum. It is yours.
You can also conquer Rome and its Run Rome The Marathon by walking. All Fitwalking practitioners and enthusiasts are welcome at the new Rome Marathon and will find guidance and support from their specific pacers, who will accompany them on sport walks throughout the route at the appropriate pace, from the relatively relaxed 6 hr 30 min pace to the high-performance 5 hr 45 min pace. It doesn’t matter how fast you go or when you arrive, the important thing is the journey and doing it on foot is always something special and exciting. It allows you to experience the Eternal City and its extraordinary beauty even more intensely, savouring the challenge of a marathon to the full.
Fitwalkers who can of course also take part in the ‘Run4Rome’ charity relay, either in ‘Fitwalkers only’ or in mixed ‘Runners-Fitwalkers’ teams.
