Event details
This race has been designed to link three beautiful River Towns along the Susquehanna. Participants will start the race in the F.Q. Hartman Park at the western end of Front street and will quickly encounter Danvilles historic Mill Street shopping district. The run down Mill street is the official opening of the Danville Spring Fling event. From this historic beginning runners will then travel on Bloom Road past the very modern Geisinger Medical Center Campus. Runners will continue on Bloom Road for the next 6+ miles of the route. The first climb is found on Quarry Road around mile 7. Runners will pick-up 200 in elevation in this mile. After that it is all down hill...almost.
The course will remain relatively level past the half way point and along the Susquehanna River. The race will end back on Danvilles Mill Street in an open venue where fans can see the last quarter mile.
