The 2024 Reading Hospital Road Run, hosted by The Friends of Reading Hospital, will include our standard in-person event distances of 10K and 5K races and 1 mile fun walk/run to be held on Sunday, October 20, 2024.  

5K & 10K - 8:00am

Both distances will be chip-timed.  The course will start and finish in front of the iconic clock tower and will loop around the park and neighborhoods south of the hospital campus.  The 10K will be a second loop of the 5K course making it very spectator friendly.  All participants will receive a short-sleeve wicking race shirt (must register by September 30th to be guaranteed your size). Cash prizes of $100 for 1st place overall, $50 for 2nd place overall, and $25 for 3rd place overall will be awarded in each of the Men's and Women's divisions. Age-group awards will be awarded to the top three male and female finishers in the following age groups: 14 and under, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, and 70+. 

1 Mile Fun Walk/Run - 9:00am

This untimed event will start on Spruce Street at 6th in front of the clock tower and finish on 6th directly in front of the clock tower at the hospital.
