We are excited to host our 2nd annual Race for Recovery 5k run/walk to be held on Saturday, August 10th, 2024! 

The Livingston County Community Alliance is hosting this race to raise awareness for youth substance use prevention, recovery, and treatment efforts!  The race will begin with a short testimony from someone in active recovery to inspire our community with a message of overcoming. This is a family friendly event, all ages and abilities welcome! 

Pricing: Early registration pricing only $25 until 8/01. $30 from 8/02 to 8/09 limited shirts. Race day is $35, online registration only. 

T-shirts: T-shirts available in sizes Adult Small thru Adult 3XLarge. T-shirt guaranteed until 8/01. Register early to secure your t-shirt size. 

Awards: 5k Run - Awards to Male and Female 1st, 2nd and 3rd place - Running Lab gift certificates

Awards 5k Walk - Awards to Male and Female 1st place - Running Lab gift certificates

Race day morning Packet Pickup: Starting at 8:00 am at the race location.

Schedule: The 5k run/walk will start at 9:00 am. Our recovery speaker will begin at 8:45am so be sure to meet at the start line before then.

Course Description/Map: Accurate 5k (3.1 Miles) The course is at Scofield Park and the surrounding neighborhood. Please see the course map below and detailed parking information.   

Proceeds: Support the Livingston community to reduce and prevent youth substance use and to live a safe and drug-free lifestyle.

Virtual race: If you can't make the race and still want to participate sign up for the virtual race and run on your own course on your own date. Shirts are guaranteed with entry by 8/01. Virtual race participants are not eligible for awards. 

The race will be professionally timed by the Michigan Running Foundation. Your results will be live after the race and available on this website!
