Memorial Day 2024

A memorial run to raise awareness for our Special Operations members who were killed in action since 9/11/2001. Only one rule to run with Project 33; the flag represents the fallen, and no runner will pass the flag. The flag will lead the way.

While our traditional run is 6.8 miles, we encourage you to run the distance you feel most comfortable with. This could look like running in your driveway, around your yard, or your own road course. Post pictures after your run and tag us on social media (Facebook: Project 33 Memorial Foundation; Instagram: @project33memorialfoundation) and include the hashtag #RUNFORMARCUS

We were truly blown away by the participation of our in-person and virtual supporters throughout the years!  Our virtual runs took place at military bases as far north as Fort Drum, NY and as far south as Fort Rucker, AL. and even in Poland and Kuwait  The impact that this has on the honoree's family is immense, we thank you for that!

If you are local to Buffalo, we would love to see you at our in-person event. Virtual registration is available for out-of-town participants or for those who will complete a distance at their own discretion.  This Memorial Day join us and honor U.S. Army Sergeant First Class Marcus V. Muralles.  We cannot wait to see all your posts as we run for Marcus and keep his legacy alive.

Funds raised during our 2024 campaign will be donated to the Special Operations Warrior Foundation at the request of the family.  Special Operations Warrior Foundation's enduring promise to America’s Army, Navy, Air Force, and Marine Corps Special Operations Personnel is to honor the fallen, and all Medal of Honor Recipients, by providing full educations and additional opportunities, “cradle to career” (preschool – college), to their children.
