The OPERATION: HOMECOMING 5K race is an event organized by the John "Boots" Stratford squadron to remember and honor Vietnam Veterans, POWs, and Gold Star Families who have all given so much in honor of our United States Military.

The John "Boots" Stratford squadron is Auburn University's Arnold Air Society branch. Arnold Air Society is a community service organization for AFROTC cadets that has squadrons nationwide and aims to develop cadets into better leaders and members of their communities through service to others.
