2024 NVAC Mountain Division Cross Country Championships

Location: 930 Gallison Hill Rd, East Montpelier, VT 05602
Parking: Buses need to park off site at Central Vermont Memorial Civic Center (268 Gallison Hill Road) after dropping off and come back up after the meet concludes. Spectators can park at U-32 High School/Middle School.
PET-FREE CAMPUS: U-32 is a pet-free campus, so please encourage all spectators to leave their animals at home. They will be asked to leave or return to the spectator vehicle if spotted on school grounds. This is uncomfortable for everyone, so please help us spread the word to avoid this.
Course Description: The course is a challenging, but fair cross country course featuring grass fields and crushed stone paths in the woods. Spikes are allowed.
Course: High School Varsity and Junior Varsity - 5 kilometers (3.1 miles)
Middle Level - 3200 meters (2.0 miles)
Registration: Register your athletes on Athletic.net. Pick up race packets, bibs upon arrival.
Entry format: Athletic.net website (free of charge for all teams) No Hy-Tek TM or MS excel files please! It may take up to 48 hours to establish a new account on Athletic.net web. Plan accordingly please. Please create separate teams/entries/rosters for middle school and HS athletes. Athlete’s grade must be listed.
High School – Team Entries – please enter all your participating runners into 5000 m Run - you will pay entry fees per entered runner (see below). Athletes on your team roster not entered into the event will not be registered.
Middle School - Team Entries - please enter all your participating runners into the 3200 m Run. Athletes on your team roster not entered into the event will not be registered.
Entry Fees:--
Entry fee is $ 15 per athlete to a maximum of $ 170 per team, $340 per school.
Late fees(assessed after 11:59pm Oct 15th) are an additional $150 per school, $20 per individual
All entries made by 11:59 p.m. on Oct. 15th MUST BE PAID FOR. You do not get to pay by who actually shows up on race day.

9:30 AM - Middle School girls race
9:55 AM - Middle School boys race

10:20 AM - High School Girls Junior Varsity race (no limit)
10:55 AM - High School Boys Junior Varsity (no limit)
11:30 AM - High School Girls Varsity race (Limit - 7 runners)
12:00 PM - High School Boys Varsity race (Limit - 7 runners)
Awards Ceremony: Following the conclusion of all HS races - approximately 12:45 PM
Timing/Scoring: Timing will be done by 802 Timing. Results will be available immediately after the meet. The results will also be posted on Athletic.net. Scoring will be the standard Vermont high school procedure with the top five finishers from each school scoring. Each runner will receive a numbered bib with a disposable timing chip.
Additional Information:
? An athletic trainer will be on site during the event
? Port-A-letts will be available and boys and girls locker rooms with bathrooms inside.
? Awards for top varsity boys and girls teams. Awards for varsity runners-up teams. Awards for top 10 boy and girl finishers.
? There will be a concession stand through the U-32 Booster Club.
