Join us for a 5k to support the Lexington Mounted Police Unit! The Lexington Mounted Unit, Inc. is a nonprofit civilian organization founded in 2021 to provide support to the Lexington, VA mounted police force. This is a partnership between community members and the Lexington Police Department to establish the first police mounted unit in the City of Lexington, Virginia. All proceeds from the run will go directly to fund the unit. 

The mission of the Lexington Police Mounted Unit, Inc. is to support the Lexington Police Department's horse-mounted officers in their efforts to reduce the burdens of the government in ensuring public safety, and to promote social welfare by reducing conflict and tension in public crowds. Furthermore, the goal of the dedicated citizens of the Lexington Mounted Unit, Inc. is to remain steadfast in providing the essential annual support required for optimal operation, maintenance, and care of the Lexington Police Mounted Unit.
