Meet at the Trail: Forest Discovery to Cronemiller Lake

Description
For this hike in Peavy Arboretum, we'll be hiking the Forest Discovery trail, CFIRP trail, and Section 36 trail to Cronemiller Lake. Along the way to Cronemiller lake we'll go through sections of forest where the College of Forestry students at OSU implement different strategies to clear cutting. Come our for a little nature education on this 3.25 mile hike.

Be prepared! Please be sure you have the following. Registrants that are not prepared may not be able to participate due to safety.
Required:
Shoes made for walking or hiking. Flip flops or other shoes that pose a tripping hazard are not suitable.
Water bottle. Please bring your own water bottle to be sure you are safely hydrated.
Comfortable clothing that will not get caught on branches or wildlife
Things that might be good to have:
Snack bar or other pocket snack
Hat /Visor
Sunglasses
Sunscreen applied before joining
Driving Directions to Trailhead:
Head north on HWY 99W. Approx 5 miles north of Corvallis take a left on NW Arboretum Road. After about one mile, turn left into the OSU Peavy Arboretum (at the entrance sign). Almost immediately there will be a fork. Take the left fork and follow this road for about a third mile to a small parking lot on your left by a gate. Park here to meet.
