The McAllen Marathon Scott Crane Memorial Run is a USATF-certified full, half, and relay marathon. Run the flat and fast course in South Texas where the average January weather is 50 to 71 degrees. Make your way to Boston with this Boston Qualifier marathon.
Cheered on by spectators, runners will wind their way through scenic neighborhoods and business districts. The race offers a choice of distances with a marathon, half marathon and 5-person relay marathon. We pride ourselves on welcoming all to take on our running series challenge, from some of the greatest elite runners, to those who thought completing a marathon would never be possible.
Many regular runners find this the ideal event to get a personal best time, whilst everybody finds the incredible McAllen support throughout the courses unforgettable.
Runners that participate in each of the four races: MXLAN Neon Nights 5K, Independence 4K, Fright Nite 5K, Turkey Trot 5K/10K, and a race on marathon weekend, will be awarded with the McAllen Marathon Scott Crane Running Series medal.
