Lets Go South (LeGS) with Laz
Sub-events Details
Lets Go South - USA & Non-USA
Lets Go South - VIP (USA Only)
LeGS is a 500 mile journey that you can do virtually by following the course that Laz is walking from Nashville, TN, to Panama City Beach, FL.
Laz is starting his journey on December 1, and plans to finish by December 22. You will have until Feb 28 to finish.
Laz will post daily write ups of what he sees and encounters along the way. There will be plenty of photos. You'll be able to enter your mileage and read about where you are, and to actually see your surroundings by using the tracking map app.

KEY NOTES:
The first option is for USA only. VIP includes a unisex, tech shirt, (see the banner photo above for a great idea as to what the shirt will look like), and finisher's award (the finisher's award could be similar to GVRAT, but with the laz design on it), along with all of the great reports on the race website, tracking map, and the cool reports and photos from laz's observations on the course, all for the low fee of $65. ONLY for USA participants, or for those who have a USA mailing address.
The other option (open to anyone, anywhere) for the low price of $25 includes access to all of the tracking, maps, laz stories and photos, and digital certificates. There is no SHIRT or AWARD included in this price. IF we have enough demand we will attempt to set up, and provide links to approved vendors in Canada, the UK, and other parts of the world outside of the USA, who will handle any merchandise and/or awards. Participants will deal directly with these approved vendors who will make a determination of whether they can ship items to you based on your location, and customs controls in your part of the world. Shipping has become such an issue that we cannot guarantee delivery of a product, therefore we don't want to take your money up front.
ENTRY DATES AND LOGGING MILES; DIFFERENCES FROM GVRAT: There are key differences between LeGS and GVRAT. This is due to the fact that this is a winter race, and concessions are made to accommodate you. 1. Sign up after the race starts on December 1 and before January 1, and you will still be able to go back and enter your mileage from December 1 to your registration date. You won't lose any miles. 2. The second key change is that you may enter any distance that you can track, or know the distance, including mileage that you do at work or for leisure. Many of us who walk lots of miles at work don't have the time to walk "designated" miles after or before work. Again, you won't lose any miles.
