Calling All Young Runners!

Do you have an energetic child that is looking for one last summer activity? Are they constantly moving and on the go? This might be the most perfect challenge for them! Join Kids Run This Town so you child can call themselves a Half Marathoner!

How it works:

• Register for Kids Run This Town
• Over 4 weeks, run 12 miles with your child. Each run can be any distance, as long as you cover 12 miles! If you can't run with your child, recruit a sibling, a neighbor, a cousin, anyone - as long as your child has a partner and is chaperoned.
• Join us for two group meetings throughout the program -Tuesday, August 9 at 5pm & Tuesday, August 23 at 5pm - to get to know the group, learn about proper running form & technique, and take part in some fun games!
• On race day, Sunday, September 4, 2022, meet at Crystal Lake Central High School (mile 12 of the Crystal Lake Half Marathon). Your child will jump into the race with the rest of the runners and cross the finish line of the Crystal Lake Half Marathon Finish Line. They'll even receive their own race medal! BONUS! Your child's race WILL be chip timed, so they will get an official mile time!

What does registration include?

• A guided coaching plan for your athlete
• Two fun run meet ups at Smith Physical Therapy + Running Academy
• Registration into the Crystal Lake Half Marathon (Kids 1-Mile Run)
• A runner t-shirt

What days will the Fun Run Meet Ups be?

The meet ups at Smith Physical Therapy + Running Academy will be:

• August 9th from 5-6pm
• August 23rd from 5-6pm

Can my little little guy/gal participate?

Of course! The more the merrier! This program is for children 4-11 years old. We just ask that your child be entering Kindergarten thru 5th grade in the fall.

On race day, where will my child need to be in order to run the final mile?

All kids will meet at Crystal Lake Central High School on Sunday, September 4th and follow the final mile of the Crystal Lake Half Marathon course. They will cross the official finish line in downtown Crystal Lake with the rest of the Half Marathon runners!
