<h4>The <strong><span style="color:rgb( 35 , 111 , 161 )">Hawk Chief Run</span></strong> is an annual event held during the Pawnee Indian Veterans Homecoming to honor the memory of Hawk Chief, a noted Pawnee Scout and runner. Hawk Chief, also known as Kutawikucu Resaru, was a Pawnee Scout for the United States Army and is best known for running the first sub-four-minute mile during his time in service.</h4>

<h4>This event is a 5K Run and 1-mile fun walk. Registration is <strong>FREE</strong> and open to anyone; all ages are welcome!</h4>
