Girls on the Run Mid Michigan 5K

Start Time: 11:00 am on Sunday May 19, 2024. To help everyone feel comfortable in a larger group setting, we will have a flexible start line! Start the 5K run/walk any time between 11:00 and 11:20 am. Keep an eye on the start line and begin your run/walk when you feel comfortable. You do not have to feel rushed to get to the starting line.  Start your race when you are ready. Timing does not start until you cross the timing mats!

Giveaways: Finisher medals available all participants.  All participants who register before 4/30/2024 will receive an event t-shirt. For registrations received after 4/30/2024, t-shirts are available on a first come, first serve basis, while supplies last.  If you DO NOT want a shirt, please select "Opt Out" or No Shirt from the drop down menu when registering.

Early Packet Pick Up: Packet Pick up will be available on Friday, May 17 at Playmakers in Okemos from 4pm-6pm.

Day of Packet Pick Up: Race day packet pickup will begin at 9:00 AM at MSU's People's Park (behind Wells Hall & the International Center). 

Results: Your accurate chip time and current overall and age group place will be live on this site. Timing done by Michigan Running Foundation.Age groups: 9 and under, 10-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80+

Prizes: $20 Playmakers gift cards 1st place prizes for top male and female finisher per age group. Top 4 finishers for 9 and under will receive a pass for free visit to Potter Park Zoo. Visit the registration table after the event to claim prize. No award ceremony. 

No-shows to the race will forfeit their shirt and finisher medal.

Parking: parking on MSU campus is free on Sundays. Recommended lots/ramps are Lots 9, 38, 40 and 41 and Parking Ramp 2. See PDF below with map of lots.
