Each winter, United Christian Ministries provides financial help to Pickens County &  Powdersville area residents who simply cannot afford to heat their homes due to an emergency, such as sudden job loss, or limited resources. Imagine the plight of the elderly person living on a fixed monthly income below the poverty level. Winter arrives, the temperatures drop, and the cost to have her heating fuel delivered exceeds three hundred fifty dollars! Or, she resorts to using an open oven or old space heater to stay warm causing her electric bill to skyrocket. Whether you’re running or walking, your participation in our 11th annual Feet for Heat race will help keep someone warm this winter!  

This year we are including a Bubble Run for kids 12 and under starting at Old Market Square (in front of Easley Presbyterian Church) at 8:30am.  Kids will enjoy running through tons bubbles down South 1st Street. There will also be yard games for the kids to play with while the 5K runners & 1 mile walkers finish their races.  We recommend bringing a towel & a change of shoes and/or clothes. 

Race packet pick-up (goodie bag) will be on October 14 from 5-6;30pm at United Christian Ministries (303 Dacusville Hwy in Easley).
