The funds for this research come from oligo survivors, families and friends that know that new treatments are crucial. Oligo Nation has raised over $4M and made over 20 medical research grants to leading scientists in North America and Europe. In 2022, they launched an innovative new research initiative built on team science and collaboration. They expect to have multiple clinical trials launching within the first two years of this effort.
