Farmington 5K and Fun Run

Join us for the Inaugural Farmington 5K and Fun Run as part of Farmington Fall Fest 2023! The Event begins at 9 am with the kid's Fun Run (150 yards) or Tot Trot (76 yards) on the softball field at Farmington Community Events Center. Directly following at 9:30 am, the 5k participants begin their run or walk through beautiful low traveled roads in historic Farmington, NC. The route is relatively flat and mostly paved but with some gravel or grass areas. The timed 5k will include medals 3 deep for male and female participants in age banded categories as well as a swag bag for all participants. The Kid's Run and Tot Trot participants will receive a Farmington Nature Park embroidered patch. Well behaved leashed dogs are welcome to walk or run with their owners after the competitive runners have left. Strollers are also welcome and will leave after the competitive runners. Following the race, stay for the day to enjoy all the Fall Fest activities, including great food, a tractor show, a hay ride, a kid's barrel train ride, a pet costume contest, live music, vendors, and more! All proceeds from the 5k and Fun Run to benefit Impact of the Piedmont, Inc., a non profit organization located in Mocksville, NC which provides individualized home and community-based support for children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Event details and schedule

Please arrive on 10/21/2023 between 7:30 and 8:30 am for packet pick-up, parking in the Nature Park lot accessed using the entrance beside the pickleball courts. The Event Center will be well-marked as the place to pick up your information. 

The Kid's Tot Trot will begin at 9 am

The Kid's Fun Run will begin at 9:15 am

The 5k will begin at 9:30 am

Child care will be provided at no charge for those who want to participate in the 5k but need to have their 2 - 10 year old children supervised.

Award ceremony will be held at 11 am after all 5k participants have returned. Food will be available for purchase upon your return.
