Dogtown United, in partnership with Dogtown Running Club, is excited to bring to you the inaugural Dogtown Family Festival & Fun Run! The Festival will take place on September 17th, 2022 at 9 a.m. in Franz Park, located in the historic Dogtown neighborhood. Participants will compete in a 1-mile race around Franz Park and will run the perimeter of the park two times to complete their mile.

There are two race options offered:

• 9:00 a.m. - Adult 1-Mile Run (timed), age 10 and above
• 9:30 a.m. - Kids 1/2-Mile Dash (untimed), children under the age of 10

The Dogtown Family Festival & Fun Run will include post-race activities for everyone in the family! Most notably, St. Louis CITY SC has recently partnered with Franz Park to install a personalized Dogtown Futsal Court within the already existing tennis courts. After the race, at approximately 10:00 a.m., there will be an official ribbon cutting ceremony to highlight the newest addition as well as a team meet & greet, scrimmage, and St. Louis CITY SC giveaways. Registered runners will receive a t-shirt and a free drink and treat (adult & kid-friendly options will be available), and enjoy Festival amenities including music, yard games, and local vendors, sure to create a memorable experience for all!

Charitable Donations: Dogtown United is a non-profit organization that is committed to continuing the legacy of the annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade and Irish Festival. In collaboration with community partners, Dogtown United seeks to bring residents, businesses and visitors together to create a strong, safe, and vibrant community. A portion of all proceeds will go towards supporting the students at the Wilkinson Early Childhood Center, a public magnet school located alongside Franz Park in Dogtown.

Race T-Shirt: Anyone registered before September 3rd will receive a race t-shirt. Dogtown Running Club will have shirts available for purchase at the Festival on September 17th.

Festival Schedule:

• 8 - 8:45 am: Participant arrival and check-in at Franz Park
• 8:55 am: 1-Mile Adult Race participants gather at the start
• 9:00 am: 1-Mile Adult Race begins
• 9:25 am: 1/2-Mile Dash Kids Race participants gather at the start
• 9:30 am: 1/2 Mile Kids Race begins
• 10:00 am: Awards and Franz Park Futsal Court ribbon cutting with STL City SC

Parking:

Parking is available at Wilkinson Early Childhood Center and is accessible only by driving east on Mitchell. Please do not attempt to access the parking lot from Prather or by going west on Mitchell, as street closures for the event will prevent you from reaching it.

Awards:

The top three finishers (male and female) will receive prizes from local Dogtown Businesses and St. Louis City SC!

Because this is a Fun Run, we do not have finishers' medals for this race. However, all participants will receive a complimentary adult beverage (over 21) from Heavy Riff or Sunny's Cantina or a treat from Sweet Em's.

What if I can't get my packet during these times?

• Race-day packet pickup is available starting at approximately 8 am the morning of the race. Please visit the Information station (located near the race start) to collect your packet.
• If you would like a friend, family member, or another participant to pick up your packet, they may do so by providing the participant's name and registration email confirmation at the time of pickup.

Results:

Official times and results for the race will be provided later in the day on September 17, and you will receive an email when they are ready.
