This race started in 1986 and commemorates Danie Walker, a former Buffalo State cross country and track athlete who was overcome by cancer and was coached by former long standing BSC Cross Country Coach and race founder, James Ramos.
The course, a former location of SUNAC’s and other conference meets starts on the picnic grounds adjacent to the scenic Niagara River and makes its way through park property and includes a 30 degree/ ~150-foot-long uphill, flat stretches, wooded trails. The course will be sufficiently marked, FAT Timed and Officiated by a USATF official.
