THIS YEAR'S EVENT WILL BE RUN ON A USATF CERTIFIED COURSE! 

Our 2nd annual Derby Day 5K event will be situated in the heart of Milton, GA at Crabapple Market. This fun, family race will have us walking, trotting, and galloping through its local roads to celebrate the 2023 Kentucky Derby! Fascinators, Derby hats and bowties encouraged - Are you thinking sear-sucker running shorts?!  Bring your family “team” to enjoy the race, awards, live music, food&drinks and local vendors! The race begins at 8:30AM. The party continues till 1:30!  We’ll also have Byrdhouse Ministry therapy horses to pet and therapists there to learn more about Byrdhouse Ministries mission.  All proceeds will go to Byrhouse Ministries.  This ministry - located right here in Milton, Georgia - provides space and experiences for people to reset, restore and recover through traditional- and trauma-focused equine therapy. Registered participants will love the super soft commemorative T-shirt and all finishers will earn a beautiful Derby-themed medal as well!

5K starts at 8:30am (registration/number pick up opens at 7:30am OR ahead of time at Big Peach Running Co Thurs May 4th).

Parking and restrooms available around the start area, Crabapple Market.

Awards: Finisher medals, Overall male and Overall female medals, Masters medals, 1st, 2nd & 3rd place M/F in 12 divisions medals.

The fun continues after the race so plan to stick around to celebrate! Live music, food & drinks, local vendors and Byrdhouse Ministries therapy horses will all be there!
