“With every step we honor our loved ones”

November is National Hospice and Palliative Care Month.  Please, come out run or walk the memorial 5k (3 mile) or do the one mile fun run in honor of those who have been and are presently in hospice care and palliative care.. We want to honor their lives through this journey while raising money for the Hospice Promise Foundation a nonprofit organization.(https://lhcgroup.com/foundation/) 

The Hospice Foundation assists patients and families with essential, non-hospice related expenses they are unable to afford themselves. The foundation funds can help with rent, utility bills, emergency repairs, personal care items, food assistance, last wishes, and veteran activities. 

All donations are tax deductible.

*This race is for everyone Ages 13 and up

*Schools, Companies/ Corporations, and Families can set-up groups/teams

*Veteran's Day Salute begins at 3:00 PM

*Race begins at 3:30 PM

*Awards and Candlelight Vigil begins at 5:00 PM

*Special needs community welcome

*Registration Fee: $25 for early birds (September 1-November 2); Late registration $30 (November 2-November 11)

 

*Late Registration starts at 2:00 PM. Please bring cash or check.*

T-shirt, water, and gift bag pick-up will be on the day of the event.

  Check-in will begin at 2:00 P.M.

All walkers, runners, vendors, and food trucks should be checked-in or setup by 2:45 PM.

                                                                LOVED ONE MEMORIAL WALL

Every family can email a photograph of their loved one that has passed away by November 1. Send the photograph, name, and one sentence with a thought, short quote, or famous words to faith.sanders@lhcgroup.com/. 

The cost is $20 per photograph. A large banner wall will be made and displayed.

 

The weather will be monitored closely. Unless the weather is deemed unsafe for the runners and walkers, the race will go on as planned. Bring a post-race change of clothes. At the minimum, bring an extra pair of socks and shoes so you don't have wet feet for the ride home in case of rain.
