The 2024 Bowerman 5k Registration is Live!
We are excited to announce the 13th edition of the annual Bowerman 5k!
This year’s event will be held on Sunday, July 28th, at Nike WHQ. In addition to the main event, we will be bringing back the free elementary school 1,000m race before the running of our annual 5k.
SCHEDULE
9:30am 1,000m Elementary School Race (FREE!)
10:05am Bowerman 5,000m
LOCATION:
The start of each race alongside our events area will be at Lebron James Courtyard on Nike Campus (map coming soon)
TEAMS:
If you’re not in the hunt for individual glory, there will be a team race (5 runners to score) with male and female divisions. You must have 5 runners to complete a team. If you do not find a complete team by race day, you will be entered as an individual.
FUNDRAISING:
Help us continue to support causes near and dear to our BTC Community. In addition to continuing to support the Julius Achon Foundation, we are adding fundraising opportunities to support our BTC Youth Cross Country and Track & Field programs. All donations will go directly toward supporting operational costs and scholarship opportunities for our youth program. You can have an impact even if you aren’t racing! Encourage family and friends to donate under your registration link.
In addition to all that's new, we'll still have everything you loved about previous years: great vendors, chances to meet our pro athletes, the beautiful Nike Campus, a cool t-shirt, and, most importantly, a great race! Sign up today and we look forward to seeing you again next year!
Our Event
Started in 2010, the Bowerman 5k is an annual road race held in the month of July at the Nike Campus in Beaverton, Oregon. The 5k is a great opportunity to get the whole family involved in a fun and active event. Our competitors include young kids, stroller walkers, competitive masters and elite runners, and we encourage all ages and abilities to come and join the fun. If you’re looking for a 5k personal best, the course is a fast one! Over the years, the race’s popularity has grown and in 2015 it was rated as one of the 7 Must-Do 5k Races in the United States by Competitor Magazine.
Every year, the event raises money for the Achon Uganda Children’s Fund (AUCF), an organization focused on providing improved healthcare, education and exposure to sport in Uganda communities. The event has supported the AUCF every year since its inaugural run in 2010, and we hope to continue to expand our donation in years to come.
