The event includes a 1/2 Marathon run and a 5K run/walk.  The 5K also provides an opportunity for families and people with pets to participate. Both are held on the Yough River Trail of the Great Allegheny Passage (GAP) which provides a flat, fast, crushed limestone surface. Medals are given in both races.

Pacers from Marathon Pacing will participate in the 1/2 Marathon.

The Mon Yough Trail Council (MYTC) hosts this race.  It raises necessary funds for trail maintenance and upkeep throughout the year. The MYTC is one of a network of all-volunteer trail councils that exist along the GAP specifically to keep the trail open and accessible for all.
