Black Dog Road Race 5K - 10K - Kids Fun Run

The Legend of the Hanging Hills Black Dog has been around for over 100 years. A mysterious black dog that has been spotted countless times and is said to bring good luck, bad luck, and even death! The Black Dog awaits

Join us this Halloween weekend at Hubbard Park in Meriden, CT for the return of the Black Dog Road Race!

5K: An out and back course that runs along the beautiful Merimere Reservoir. It has some rolling hills throughout the course! 

10K: One of the most challenging 10K's in Connecticut! 6.2 miles, out and back from Hubbard Park to Castle Craig! Over 750 ft of elevation in the first 3.1 miles!

Free Kids Fun Run: Kids will run, jog, and walk the small loop (road) around the playscape and main parking lot area. About 4/10ths of a mile in distance. 

 

Running for a Purpose and Our Community

Every year, our race helps benefit local programs in our area. This year, money raised from our Black Dog Road Race will help support our local youth and fitness programs that encourage positive connections and healthy living!

Costume Contest Award:

To celebrate Halloween, we invite our participants to dress up in their favorite family friendly costumes!

Costume Winners will be announced at our awards ceremony following the race!
