61f19af3cec5d.jpgWe’re back and in-person! Please join us on Sunday, May 7th, 2023 for the Annual Ranney Gorge Run! Presented by Bay of Quinte Mutual Insurance Company. These beautiful and scenic 10.55K and 5K Runs will take place in Trent Hills, ON. The run/walk routes will take you through the roads of Ferris Provincial Park and over the breathtaking and picturesque Ranney Gorge Suspension Bridge. The day will also feature a 1K Fun Run for Kids. Funds raised will support patient care and the purchase of new high priority medical equipment for Campbellford Memorial Hospital. Please join us in support of Quality Health Care Close to Home.

RETURNING THIS YEAR:

- If you raise $150 in Pledges for the Hospital you will get your registration fee back less a $5 Administration Fee!!

START TIMES:

- The 1K Fun Run Starts at 9:30 a.m. and the 5K & 10.55K Runs start at 10:00 a.m.

IMPORTANT

- On-line Registration closes at 6 p.m. on Friday, May 5th. If you would still like to register you will have to do it in-person during the Early Pick Up (see below) or during Registration on Event Day.

- Early Pick-up of Race Kits and Bibs with timing chips will take place on Saturday, May 6th from 10:00 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Rotary Hall, 179 Saskatoon Avenue, Campbellford, ON

- This year's event will be "bottle-free". Please bring a refillable water bottle.

DETAILS

- 8:30 a.m. - 10:00 a.m. Race Day Registration - Check in for all races at the Rotary Youth Hall in Campbellford, ON.

  • 10.55K & 5K Registration Fee ............ $40 Early Bird (Until March 26th) /$50 Regular/$60 after 29/04/2022 at 6 p.m. and on Day of Event
  • 1K Fun Run Registration Fee ………………. $10

- 5K & 10.55K Participants will receive one of our Ranney Gorge Run custom medals, race kit and t-shirt! PLEASE NOTE: We will still ask for your shirt size when you register, but because the after April 11th we cannot ensure you will get your requested shirt size, but we are going to really try our best.

- 1K Participants will receive a beautiful Ranney Gorge Run custom medal.

- Official 1K Fun Run Start Time is 9:30 a.m. - The 1K Fun Run will take place in the adjacent Kennedy Park.

- Official 10.55K & 5K Run/Walk Start Time is 10:00 a.m. The races will start together on Saskatoon Avenue in front of the Rotary Youth Centre and head south into Ferris Provincial Park. The finish line will also be on Saskatoon Avenue in front of the Rotary Youth Centre. Pre-Race Warm up at 9:50 a.m.

- 11:30 a.m.-1:00 p.m. Post Run Celebration

After the race, all participants are invited to join the post race celebration and awards ceremony in the Rotary Youth Centre. Fruit will be provided to all participants.

FOOD: The Lion's Club of Campbellford will be on site providing free hot dogs for participants or spectators interesting in purchasing food. Apples and bananas will also be available free to participants.

PARKING:

- We encourage participants and spectators to car pool and/or arrive early. ALSO There is a satellite parking area located at the Campbellford Fair Grounds (next to the Curling Club - 381 Front St N, Campbellford, ON K0L 1L0 ). A free shuttle will be running to take you to the Start/Finish. Special thanks to the Campbellford Seymour Agricultural Society for its support.

Limited parking is available at:

-Kennedy Park lot (Limited)

- near the Tennis Courts on Trent Drive(Limited)

- on Saskatoon Avenue (north of Kennedy Park) (Limited)

- on Second Street (Limited)

- at the Vacant lot behind TD Bank in Downtown Campbellford (3 block walk)

AGE GROUPS & AWARDS

Prizes will be presented to the 1st place overall male and female finishers in the 5K, 10.55K and 1K Fun Run events. As well as highest pledges raised. Beautiful custom medals will be provided to all participants!

ADDITIONAL EVENT DETAILS:

- Please no pets.
- Strollers and wagons are welcome, but are asked to start the Run/Walk at the back of the group. Walkers are also asked to start at the back of the group.
- A supervised Bag Check will be available for participants inside of the Rotary Hall.
- Child Care or Child Supervision will not be available.
- We will be doing a 50/50 draw for the Hospital. Please bring cash.

TIMING & FINISH LINE SERVICES

Gun start/chip finish timing services will be provided by TAPtiming. Results are updated throughout the race in real time and can be accessed at any time after crossing the finish line using any one of the following options:

Race participants can also use the Race Roster platform to view and share finish line photos with family and friends for free on Facebook. Custom finisher certificates can also be downloaded from the results page at no charge!
