Event details

Join us in celebrating AAPI Heritage Month with a special AAPI 5K Run or Walk, an eco-friendly green race organized by the Chinese American Association of Lexington (CAAL) and Hey Runners Club. Inaugurated in 2022, this vibrant community event attracts over 500 runners annually featuring AAPI history, art, food, and culture while promoting unity, solidarity, and a sense of belonging in historic Lexington.

Here are some exciting highlights for this year:

  • In partnership with Schneider Electric, we’re working to reduce our environmental footprint, accelerating efforts towards a Green & Sustainable 5K Race.
  • The race is proudly featured as one of the key events in the Lexington 250th anniversary celebration.
  • Taste of AAPI - sample bites of delicious AAPI cuisines after the race.
  • The first 300 registrants receive a premium, superlight “quick-dry” race T-shirt.
