Here we go Hopping again!!!
Spring time will be upon us and the Easter Bunny should have been training all winter to reclaim the age old tale against the tortoise. This coming year we invite participants to run like the Hare or pace yourself steady to victory like the Tortoise. Participants will get a Finisher's Medal and guaranteed a Bunny Hop T-Shirt if you register before March 28, 2025. If you like to be part of community video please hash tag #antiochbunnyhop5k on your Instagram account or email your picture to rdeloso@yahoo.com. Important Notes: (1)Packet Pick up will be at Fleet Feet Sports in Brentwood on Friday, April 18th from 3-7pm. (2) This 5K Fun Run is a timed event. Accurate timing is provided by the E-Tag attached on the back of your Race Bib - your time starts when you cross the Start Line Sensor and you finish when you cross the Finish Line Sensor. Race Timing will be provided by Ford Timing. (3)The 5K Course is entirely within Corteva Wetlands Preserve and the surface is mostly gravel and grass paths. Because of this we do not recommend bringing strollers or wagons unless you are prepared to carry these over some barriers and over the uneven terrain. (4)We love our furry friends too but we do not advise that you bring dogs to this fun run for safety reasons. (5) The Bunny Hop Start Line is about 3/4 mile from the Antioch Marina Festival/Parking Area - please plan on a 20-30 minute nature walk! (6) This Race will happen Rain or Shine! (6) For Runners of Antioch Unified School District - please arrive at the Antioch Marina by 7:30am to pick up your Race Bibs and GoodyBags - There will be a special line for AUSD-sponsored Runners.
