Event details

The Shore to Shorecrest 5K is an annual community event that symbolizes the journey from the past to the present. The original Shorecrest Outdoor School was founded in 1923 and is approximately 3.1 miles from our current campus, established in 1967. The event aims to bring the community together to celebrate the Chargers spirit in the Tampa Bay Area.

This a point-to-point race:

  • Start will be at:  Flora Wylie Park, 1400 N Shore Dr NE Saint Petersburg, FL US 33704
  • Finish line will be at: Shorecrest Campus, 5101 1st St NE, St Petersburg, FL 33703

 

Packet Pickup:
Friday, November 1, 2024 
7:30-9am and 5-7:30pm 

Shorecrest Athletic Center Participants under 18 years of age must have an adult present to pick up their packets. 

Walk-in registrations available at packet pickup! 

 

Race Day Information:

  • Parking: All event parking is on campus. Preferred parking passes are available for purchase. Due to limited parking, we highly encourage ride-sharing and carpooling to ensure a convenient experience for everyone.
  • Shuttle Service to the Start Line: Shuttles will run between the campus and the starting line starting at 6am. The last set of shuttles will depart at 7:15am.
  • Race Start Time: The race will begin at 8am. Participants are strongly encouraged to arrive at the starting line by 7:30am.
  • Strollers / Wheelchairs: Strollers and wheelchair participants are welcome and encouraged.
  • Pets & Bicycles: Pets, bicycles, scooters, rollerblades, skateboards, wagons, and similar wheeled items are not permitted on the course or campus for the safety of all participants.

 

Post-Race Celebration:

Join us for refreshments, the Sparky Sprint, and the Health and Wellness Village sponsored by Blossom Family Chiropractic after the race. It’s a fantastic opportunity to celebrate your achievement and connect with fellow runners!

  • Health & Wellness Village: Located on Gaffney Green outside, the Health & Wellness Village sponsored by Blossom Family Chiropractic will be open from 8:30-11am. Families are welcome to enjoy coffee, a pancake breakfast, and entertainment from various vendors. Don’t miss the photo booth and the entertainment. All participants and spectators are welcome!
  • Sparky Sprint: (Children 8 Years and Younger) Please arrive on campus by 8:30am for Sparky Sprint participants. Children should meet at the Sparky Sprint start line at 9:15am, where we will group them by grade level (e.g., Alpha, JK, First Grade, etc.). Look for the start flag and Sparky Sprint signage at the beginning of the Lower School Carline.
