2023 Sarah Beckett Memorial Run

The Sarah Beckett Memorial Run is a 5km run and walk in honour of fallen RCMP officer Cst. Sarah Beckett who was killed in the line of duty on April 5, 2016. The 2023 event will take place on May 13th, 2023 starting and finishing at the Starlight Stadium plaza area, next to the Sarah Beckett Memorial Playground.

The registration cost will include a beautiful technical running shirt and a finishers medal. A virtual event will also be available for those who do not live in the Greater Victoria and West Shore area. You are able to run and walk anywhere then please share a photo on our social media pages using #runforbeckett!

For the virtual event:

To guarantee that you receive your race package on time and you live
outside of Vancouver Island, you must register by April 10th, 2023

To guarantee you receive your race package on time and you live
on Vancouver Island, you must register by April 30th, 2023

The money raised will go toward two wonderful organizations: BGC South Vancouver Island (formerly the Boys and Girls Club of Greater Victoria) and the Goldstream Food Bank.

Registration closes online at 10 pm (PST) on May 12th, 2023. Participants are able to register in person between 8am and 9am on the morning of the event at the registration tent (Sizes for run shirt are not guaranteed for last minute registrations).
