What initially started off as a one-time summer event has since been transformed into an annual occurrence as a direct result of overwhelming support from the mesothelioma community. Our team at Vogelzang Law has been so inspired and appreciative of all of our participants, sponsors, and volunteers; we intend to continue to draw awareness to the unique and difficult circumstances of those affected by mesothelioma.
We're proud to have raised over $65,000 for mesothelioma research since 2018, thanks to the support from people like you.
This 5K benefits the Mesothelioma Applied Research Foundation. The Meso Foundation is an incredible non-profit organization that provides treatment support to mesothelioma patients across the country, conducts in-depth research, and advocates for more federal funding to find a cure. We have been fortunate to develop our relationship with the Meso Foundation over the years and we are proud that they will be the benefactor of this great event for the 6th year in a row.
This year's race will be hosted in-person and virtually so that all of our participants from across the country and globe can join us!
- The in-person race will take place on Saturday, September 2nd, 2023 at Shelter A of the Lake County Forest Preserve Half Day Location in Vernon Hills, IL.
- Virtual participants have September 1st through September 26, 2023 (Mesothelioma Awareness Day) to complete their remote race.
Join our private Facebook page for MRFJ participants to receive updates or feel free to call (312) 201-4116 if you have any further questions -- ask for Mirela, the Race Director!
